Some Tousins

This is Ben and Tsehaye her tousins. Well, sometimes Ben is Father Ben or Brother Ben. They were just haning out on the porch in the evening because it feels so much better outside at night.
T stuck her hair over PJ to make it look like a wig. She has a ton of hair to spare and they had fun checking out the pictures.

This picture just turned out perfect. Perfect if it was mean to look like an agry women yelling at her child. PJ has on a lot of pink makeup to give her eyes the tired and abused look too.

She decided she was freezing and stole the blanket from Tsehaye.

In Memory of Scooter...Who Is Still Alive!

I didn't know when I first started out on this rendevous if Scooter would drive me crazy, but she has got better as we went along. She has taken to my Dad and him to her. I think they will miss each other when we finally head back home to Colorado.
We also discovered that Scooter is a great camper. She stays close by and does well hiking. This is a good test for future horse rides.
My parents little neighbor Dawson came over to play quite often with Scooter. I would hear him playing with Scooter outside and then running away for her to chase him. One day he brought over catapillars to show us all. PJ was fascinated by them. They are still in the jar and are making cacoons. It's been fun for the kids to watch.

This is the neighbors dog with Scooter. Tucker is huge compared to Scooter, but they play so good with each other. Tucker often leaves poopy surprised in my parents yard that aren't hard to miss.

Scooter has been a good dog and has been fun for all the neighbor kids to play with. PJ is getting more cuddly with her and Scooter is getting more cuddly too instead of thinking she needs to nibble on your hands every time you touch her. What a good little pooch.

Formation Springs

Playing at Kelly Park. They tried to fish there, but the mosquitoes were biting like crazy. Instead they played for a few minutes on the animal swings. While swinging Ben and PJ spotted a little ground squirrel or something popping out of a hole right in front of them. They thought it was pretty cool.
If you go to Soda Springs you might as well go see Formation Springs. This use to be owned by my ancestors, and about 30 years ago and all before then the rock formations use to fill up with crystal clear pools in the spring and summer time. The springs warmed up enough that it was great to swim in, but people who built their homes below were being flooded and the water was redirected. It would be awesome to swim there.
There is a few other cool places to explore out there besides the cave. It is a very beautiful place.

Back to G & G Beins

In the past we often look at girly fishing poles, but PJ won this time and got herself a Barbie fishing pole. It worked out pretty good because Grandpa took her fishing to the pond where it quickly got tangled. Then we went camping and she used it quite a bit. There is a pretty pink butterfly on the end instead of a hook, but it worked well at the creek that was right next to us. Pretty soon we'll have to get her a hook for it because she may actually want to catch a fish one of these days.

My Pictures from Teton Canyon

We stopped here to take a rest and then to turn around because snow started covering the trail.
Aliza up on some snow.

Tyler and Parker taking the lead. Ty did an awesome job leading and Park was great whenever my house kept rubbing up against his horse's but.

My horse Macaroni who is very ugly, but she is a good horse.

Mesa Falls Trip

Upper Falls.
Staring out over Lower Falls.
Ty attempting the 1 pounder at Big Juds. I think this one was bigger than the one Rick ate a couple months ago. It was huge. He was so sick toward the end he could barely chew, but somehow he managed to get it all down. Then amazingly he kept it all down, but the rest of the day he lounged around because he didn't feel well.

Bar T 5

The kids got up and sang "She's Coming Around the Mountain", and Tyler got to go Ooh, La, La. When we went last year a Japanese man had that part, and he kept saying, "Ooh, Ra, Ra". It was hilarious.
PJ sitting with Papa and Grandma Barkdull on the wagon ride home.
Playing with Jaxsen while waiting to hop in the wagons.
The cutest little cowgirl in the west.

PJ Dancing

The other video of her dancing to Lady Gaga was way too big to download so...here she is dancing to Miley Cyrus instead.

Spectacular Show

It's hard to get 8 kids of all ages to all smile at once, or to sit still or to be happy. We just might have a good one somewhere, but mine always had one person doing something odd.
At O'Rourkes in Driggs. She was the one who actually ate the cherry even though in this picture is seems she is disgusted with it.

Independence Day Continued...

This one is for you Laurie. I thought it was a really cute one of Kennedy.
PJ is not one to pose for pictures, but she thought posing on the horse trailer was a lot of fun.
Don't get jealous Rick, Nick is riding in this Mustang. It was super nice, and Nick's best friend gets to drive it around quite often. I almost drooled over the car myself.

PJ waving to all the cars and floats as they went by.

Independence Day

Welcome to the Victor, Idaho parade. It was a scorching 60 degrees! PJ did good with the parade this year and wanting to get the candy. She still doesn't have the determination as some of the other kids, but that is okay. She very well could be the best waver there is though. She waved at every car and float that went by, and yelled for her cousins when she saw them. They made sure to throw candy her way.
The old crew leading out with the flags. Remember the year you did this with them, Rick? The Kunz's still have your picture from the newspaper hanging in their kitchen. Maybe you could do it again sometime.

Sitting with the cousins and Papa on top of the flatbed. It was a huge parade this year and I got to watch a bunch of nephews and neices on floats or riding in cars. We had a good time.

PJ and Papa waiting for the parade to start.

A Couple Days Before the 4th

Our little goofball.
Roasting marshmallows out by the fire in G&G Barkdull's backyard.

Burning the wood to get the coals ready for smores. The little ones kept throwing scraps of wood into the fire. At one poin they had so many scraps on they were smothering the fire.

PJ sitting with Aunt Andrea and her cousins Parker, Kennedy and Liza. PJ and Kennedy have on matching tutus that PJ had picked out a couple of weeks earlier so they could have the same.
